ARMED police stopped a vehicle in Whitley last night which was carrying a "shipping container" suspected to have been stolen.
Thames Valley Police Roads Policing tweeted today (September 25) to explain the vehicle had been seen in Whitley last night.

The force said it was 'seen in suspicious circumstances' when police moved to stop it.
Police said the vehicle was pulled over on the M4 junction 8/9 by roads policing and Hants TVP Armed Police.

The yellow "shipping container" on the rear was worth about £10,000 according to police.
The vehicle and container were seized by police officers.
