THE following cases appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court.

 

September 9:

 

BARRY JONES, 38, of Woodsend Close, Shinfield, admitted drink driving on Lower Earley Way, Earley, on April 3. Found to have 60mcg alcohol per 100ml breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35mcg. Also failed to surrender to custody at Reading Magistrates Court on September 3. Community order made, including 100 hours unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Also disqualified from driving for 18 months. 

MARIA WALL, 57, of Fairlawn Green, Reading, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place on Ivydene Road, Reading on July 1. Fined £40. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £40 court costs. 

TRACEY CRODEN, 54, of St Catherines Hill, Mortimer, admitted theft of 3 bottles of perfume from Camp Hobson Plc in Newbury on January 15. Also admitted theft of cosmetics and a pair of hair straighteners worth £284.84 total from a Boots in Newbury on January 15. Fined £135. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £40 court costs.

September 10:

 

CAVAN GRUBER, 19, of Strathy Close, Reading, admitted assault by beating in Slough on November 24, 2019. Also commission for a further offence whilst subject to a conditional discharge for possession of a class B drug, made in Slough Magistrates Court on July 22, 2019. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge. 

NIGEL MONTGOMERY, 63, of Trapps Hill, Inkpen, West Berkshire, admitted intent to cause racially-aggravated harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour in Hungerford on December 16, 2019. Fined £1,000. Also ordered to pay £500 compensation, £100 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. 

IAN STOKES, 52, of South Street, Reading, admitted driving without insurance on Reading Relief Road, Reading, on April 23, 2019. Fined £150. Also ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Also disqualified from driving for 42 days.

Sepetember 11:

 

ROBERT ZASDA, 29, of Drakes Way, Reading, admitted making an offensive/indecent/obscene/menacing phone call in Reading on February 16. Fined £40. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. 

DARON ANDREWS, 52, of Kennedy Drive, pangbourne, admitted drink driving in Co Op petrol station, Pangbourne, on May 26. Found to have 54mcg alcohol per 100ml breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35mcg. Fined £100. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge. Also disqualified from driving for 14 months. 

MUSTAFA AHAMED, 20, of Kinson Road, Tilehurst, admitted drug driving on Victory Close, Reading, on February 2. Found to have 4.1ug/L cannabis in the blood. Also admitted using a motor vehicle without insurance on Victory Close, Reading, on February 2. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Cannabis to be forfeited and destroyed. Also disqualified from driving for 12 months. 

PAUL WILLIAMS, 29, of Glendale Avenue, Newbury, admitted assault by beating in Newbury on July 23. Also admitted wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent in Newbury on July 23. Committed to prison for 20 weeks total suspended for 24 months. To pay £500 compensation. Also ordered to pay £128 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. 

DIANE FARNAN, 71, of Reading Road, Burghfield Common, admitted using an unlicensed car on July 10, 2019. Fined £45. Also ordered to pay £16.67 vehicle excise back duty and £85 court costs.

MYRON FASTNEDGE, 34, of Bear Lane, Hare Hatch, admitted not paying for a train ticket at Reading Station on August 20, 2019. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £7 compensation and £21 victim surcharge.

PRESTON FRANCIS, 20, of Alphington Road, Reading, admitted failing to stop a vehicle when required by constable/traffic warden in Reading on August 22, 2019. Also admitted driving otherwise than in accordance with a license on Heatherdene Close, Reading, on August 22, 2019. Also admitted using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance on Heatherdene Close, Reading, on August 22, 2019. Also admitted driving in a public place without due care and attention on Heatherdene Close, Reading, on August 22, 2019. Also admitted failing to report an accident that they were involved in on Heatherdene Close, Reading, on August 22, 2019. Community order made, including 80 hours unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £250 court costs. Also disqualified from driving for 6 months.
