A SEXUAL assault at a skatepark in Thatcham has led to an urgent police appeal for witnesses.

The attack took place this on Sunday, September 20, at Thatcham Skatepark, Chapel Street, at around 4pm.

Two teenage boys approached the victim, a teenage girl, who pulled her hair, touched her inappropriately and made sexual comments towards her.

One of the attackers was holding a knife, which he showed the victim to intimidate her.

The victim was not injured during the attack.

Investigating officer PC Jessica Lister, based at Newbury police station said: “Thames Valley Police is conducting a thorough investigation into this serious incident and have already made two arrests.

“However, we need the public’s help in order to aid our investigation.

“This incident took place during the day where other people would have been out and may have witnessed something."

Since the attack, two teenage boys, aged between 14 and 15 were arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, but have since been released on bail.
