1. Bel and Dragon, Reading
Tucked away in Reading town centre, this urban canal side restaurant-converted biscuit factory is a hidden gem as a waterside retreat.
This isn't a conventional riverside restaurant but you can moor up outside and hop in to enjoy a refreshing drink.

2. Coppa Club, Sonning
This family friendly restaurant located in George Clooney's home town is a lovely little village gem.
It's got a variety of food options with pizzas, pastas, brunch, breakfast and an array of fancy cocktails.
They even have 'instagrammable' glass pods so you can sit right next to the river and feel like you're in your own bubble of fairy light heaven.
3.The Swan, Pangbourne
The Swan in Pangbourne is a book-lovers dream as you get to sit and enjoy the river views which inspired the literary classic Wind In The Willows.
It's the perfect spot for a water view getaway and if you bank yourself a time for the evening, you'll enjoy the sunset beaming along the river.
4. The George and Dragon, Wargrave
This gastropub style riverside restaurant refurbished last year, bringing in warm and cosy features.
You can watch the swans glide along the water and take in the gorgeous views and there's plenty of parking too!
5. The Waterside Inn, Bray
For more than 40 years people have been flocking to the Waterside Inn for the ultimate riverside experience.
It has proudly retained its three Michelin stars since 1985, offering delicious French comforts with a price tag to match.
It was founded by the brothers Michel and Albert Roux after the success of Le Gavroche.
