A METAL detector has been installed at a station in Reading as part of the police's aim to reduce crime in the area.
A Facebook post from Thames Valley Police Reading explained the Reading Neighbourhood team, alongside officers from the British Transport Police, were out targetting County Line Drug activity and serious crime today (September 17).
As part of their efforts, a metal detector was installed at Reading West Station.
The force revealed 14 stop and searches were conducted and 14 vulnerable addresses were checked.
Officers also swept a number of parks for any drug related items.

Police said it is "in the aim of making our community a safer place and reducing county line drug related crime".
