The following cases appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

August 27:

JAMIE FOSTER, 27, of Green Lane, Newbury, admitted theft of an iPhone worth £225 in Newbury on December 22, 2019. Also admitted criminal damage to a car windscreen worth £75 in Newbury on December 22, 2019. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

AUGUSTINA ESANU, 22, of Brunswick Hill, Reading, admitted drink-driving on Castle Street, Reading, on May 11. Found to have 72mcg alcohol per 100ml breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35mcg. Fined £160. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 20 months.

August 28:

CHRISTOPHER PHIPPS, 38, of Home Farm Close, Reading, admitted criminal damage to a television, a lightbulb, and a doorframe worth £499 in Thatcham on May 27. Also admitted criminal damage by destroying a garden gate in Thatcham on May 27. Ordered to pay £200 compensation. 

August 31:

OLIVER HOARE, 44, of Northumberland Avenue, Reading, admitted persistently begging on Broad Street, Reading, on May 30. Also admitted breaching a suspended sentence for possession an offensive weapon in public on August 21, 2019. Fined £50. Suspended sentence revised to a sentence of 16 weeks in prison suspended 12 months. 

HOLLYWOOD WILKIE, 35, of Kensington Road, Reading, admitted possession of class A drug cocaine in Reading on August 29. Also admitted possession of cannabis in Reading on August 29. Also admitted driving whilst disqualified on Blagrave Street, Reading, on August 29. Also admitted driving without third party insurance on Blagrave Street, Reading, on August 29, and convicted of an offence while subject to a community order made by Reading Magistrates Court, for driving whilst disqualified. Fined £300 total. Also ordered to pay £156 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Sentenced to 10 weeks in prison due to previous convictions. Disqualified from driving for 24 months.

September 1:

CIERE ALDER, of Trusthorpe Close, Lower Earley, admitted driving without meeting insurance requirements in Woking on February 21, 2019. Fined £40. Also ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. 

JOE HICKS, 27, of Sherwood Street, Reading, admitted possession with intent to supply class B drug cannabis in Reading on April 15, 2019. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation requirements, including 180 hours unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £85 victim surcharge.

ARIF CHAUDHRY, 42, of Bays Crescent, Reading, admitted failing to provide specimen for blood analysis in Earley, Reading, on May 28. Fined £113. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 36 months. 

ZBIGINEW KIELPINSKI, 62, of Cumberland Road, Reading, admitted drink-driving on Southampton Street, Reading, on June 29. Found to have 61mcg alcohol per 100ml breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35mcg. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.

CORY FUTCHER, 24, of Mount Road, Thatcham, convicted of assault by beating in Newbury on January 9. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation requirements. Made subject to a restraining order. Also ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge, and £600 court costs. 

CHRISTOPHER MORRIS, 40, of Coley Hill, Reading, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place in St Mary’s Butts, Reading, on June 30. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £22 victim surcharge and £20 court costs.
