THE next phase of resurfacing works along a major road continues today.
The A4 Bath Road in Calcot will be closed to allow for Phase 2 work to begin today (Friday, September 11).
This is eastbound from Langley Hill Junction to Mill Lane and will be under a directional closure.

The working hours will be 9.30am - 4pm from today to Wednesday September, 16 (four working days).
There will be no weekend working.
During this phase there will be access onto the A4 Bath Road from Mill Lane, both east and westbound.
There will be official diversion signs for eastbound traffic travelling into Reading via A340 / Aldermaston and Burghfield Road.
Local traffic can use Langley Hill.
West Berkshire Council has also agreed with Reading Buses that it can carry out the "temporary ramping" of the bus gate along The Chase/Pollards Way on Saturday, September 12.
The “temporary ramping” will be in place until the completion of all the work.
Signage will be in place along the A4 between the M4 and Royal Avenue advising of the A4 closure.

This will give HGV’s the chance to turn around before hitting the actual closure.
The council has asked residents to plan their journeys accordingly and apologise for any inconvenience.
