MEMBERS of the 2nd Tilehurst Brownies have managed to gain new awards during lockdown.

Four of the girls have gained new bronze and silver awards by completing activities set at home.

The activities were set each week by the leaders and were completed at home with the details sent in.

Brown Owl Val Roberts and district commissioner Alison Lewis were present when the four girls were presented with their awards at a special socially distanced outdoor meeting.

The badges involved learning a new skill and hours of extra activities.

Louise and Jessica gained bronze and Amelia and Beth gained their silver award.

Brown Owl and all the leaders of 2nd Tilehurst Brownies said they are "super proud" of the girls.
