A MAN and a boy have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released on conditional police bail.

It is in connection with an attack that happened in Strathy Close on August 9.

Thames Valley Police said one man suffered a stab wound and another man suffered head injuries caused by being hit over the head with a bottle.

They have since been discharged from hospital.

The force said yesterday (September 3) a 20-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

A 16-year-old boy, also from Reading, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Both have been released on conditional police bail.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Marc Skinner, based at Reading police station, said: “Officers have made further arrests in connection with this incident.

“However we would still appeal to anyone who witnessed it, or who has any information, to please come forward and speak to police.

Police said previously a 21-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, a 20-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent, and another 20-year-old man, also from Reading, was arrested on suspicion of wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

All three men were released on bail.
