Nibsy's
Nibsy's on Cross Street was awarded 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor.
The cafe is 100 per cent gluten free and serves food such as scones, lemon sponge cake, vegan cupcakes, quiche and pizza.
It also sells hot drinks including lattes, mochas and tea.
There is also the option to enjoy afternoon tea.
One customer described it as a "wonderful cafe" with "fantastic food".
Picnic Foods
Picnic Foods also received 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor.
Located on Butter Market, the cafe serves a variety of foods including homemade cakes such as Victoria sponge and coconut cake.
It also serves porridge, salads, fresh sandwiches and coffee.
One reviewer on Tripadvisor said: "The coffee and cake were superb. Cafe cozy and the staff friendly. A must visit."
Cafe YOLK
Also awarded 4.5 stars, Cafe YOLK's food has been described by one reviewer as "absolutely delicious" and a "hidden gem".
The cafe serves food such as avocado on sourdough bread topped with a poached egg, a breakfast burger, a traditional full English plus more.
There is also the option to enjoy a selection of pancakes including bacon and maple syrup and mixed berries and yoghurt.
Shed
Shed was described by one customer as being the "best vegan breakfast option in Reading".
It serves items such as veggie eggs and vegan toast as well as salads and sandwiches.
Fidget and Bob
Fidget and Bob received 5 stars on Tripadvisor with one customer describing the food as "amazing" and service as "excellent".
The cafe serves toasted breakfast wraps, hot breakfast sandwiches such as sausage and bacon and veggie sausage.
