A MAN from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of GBH following a stabbing in Bracknell last night.

The attack saw two men stabbed in the town.

At about 11pm on Thursday, August 28, a fight took place between three men in Newlands Place.

Two men in their 20s received stab wounds while another male in his 30s received a head injury.

One of the males to be stabbed was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A woman in her 20s, who was also involved, received stab injuries which required hospital treatment.

Two men have been arrested in suspicion of grievous bodily harm, including a 38-year-old man from Reading and a 28-year-old man from Bracknell - they both remain in police custody at this time.

Detective Chief Inspector Mike Bettington, said: “One man has received serious injuries from this incident and remains critically ill in hospital. We are carrying out a thorough investigation into the events that took place last night and have arrested two men in relation to the incident.”

“We believe that the parties involved in this altercation were known to each other and there was no danger to the wider public.”

“We are aware that this altercation may have been witnessed by a number of people, and may even have been filmed.

“We are asking anyone with information about what took place, or who may have footage of the incident itself to please get in touch.

“If you do have footage of the incident we would ask that you do not share it publicly on social media.

“Members of the public will see an increased police presence whilst we continue to investigate and we would ask anyone with any concerns or information to speak to one of our officers or to call 101 quoting reference 1347 27/8/20.
