WE recently asked readers who have had a new bundle of joy brought into their lives during lockdown to get in touch so we could create an adorable gallery of some of Reading's 'lockdown babies'.

Parents from across the town have sent in some beautiful pictures of their new children, who came into their lives during a strange time for the world.

While restrictions are now being eased, new parents have been unable to show off their babies to family and friends in the usual way, so we are sharing them with you.

Say hello to some of Reading's newest residents!

Meet Amiyah-Grace, born on 17/04/2020 right in the middle of lockdown.

Jordan Fowler said: "It was a very weird experience but also amazing because we got to spend all day everyday with our little girl."

A baby boy was born to Catherine Boast on April 26, providing his siblings with a lockdown baby brother.

Meet Elsie, born on April 15 at Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Her mother Sarah Parry said: "She has an older sister, Grace, who is three years old."

Meet Emmie India Collins, born on July 18 during lockdown. Her mother Kimberly said: "She was in hospital for four days due to jaundice so was unable to see her daddy or big sister during this time."

Baby boy born to Natalie Williams, who said: "My baby boy was born on the May 31 at 12.40 am outside my house in an ambulance - just made it inside he came just as doors shut.

"He was seven weeks early so we stayed in for a week and half without seeing my partner and children - very hard time."

Meet Mabel Alice June Brazil, born July 15.

Mother Hayley said: "The staff at RBH were amazing.

"My husband was able to be with me throughout my labour and see Mabel born, however Mabel was whisked of to Buscot ward due to low oxygen levels and was treated for an infection and jaundice with resulted in us staying in for four days so he wasn't able to see or hold her until we went home.

"That was really hard not seeing my husband or other children and them not meeting Mabel until she was four days old."

Her mother Aimee Keegan said: "My rainbow lock down baby."
