DRUG dealers, cop killers and escaped prisoners have been put behind bars in Berkshire last month.

The courts have had a busy July locking up seven criminals from across Bracknell and Reading.

Here are the faces of all of the criminals who have been sentenced for their crimes last month.

Three teenagers who committed a crime that prompted global media attention and outrage are among those put behind bars in Berkshire in July.

Henry Long, Albert Bowers, and Jesse Cole

Henry Long, 19, the driver of the car which killed PC Andrew Harper, was sentenced to 16-years at The Old Bailey on Friday, July 31.

Albert Bowers and Jessie Cole, both 18, were each jailed for 13 years for their part in PC Harper's death

Myley Connors

Reading Chronicle:

A year-long manhunt for an escaped prisoner has come to an end after he was found by off-duty police officers in London in a foot chase.

Myley Connors, 25 from Tallaght, Ireland, escaped from HMP Channings Wood in Devon on 8 April 2019, and had been on the run for almost 12 months.

Connors had burgled 18 homes across Bracknell, Wokingham, Reading and Hampshire, totalling more than £76,000 worth of family gold, jewellery and other valuables stolen.

The one year and three months’ sentence will run consecutively to the sentence he received for his original crimes.

James Eveleigh

Cannabis, cocaine, a hammer and screwdriver were among items found in the car of a man who was jailed on Tuesday.

Following a police investigation, 25-year-old James Eveleigh, of Reading Road, Wokingham, was sentenced to prison for drugs and weapon offences, which occurred in Reading.

Michael Gayle

Reading Chronicle:

A drug dealer described as "an entrusted lieutenant" for an organised crime gang has been jailed after police found almost £65,000 in cash, cocaine and ketamine.

Michael Gayle, 40, from Wentworth Way in Ascot, pleaded guilty to three counts of possession with intent to supply, one count of possession of criminal property (cash) and one count of converting criminal properly at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday, July 22.

He was jailed for six years for the count of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine); six years for two counts of intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis and ketamine) to run concurrently; 18 months for possession of criminal property (cash) to run consecutively; and 18 months for converting criminal property to run concurrently, making a total of seven years, six months.

Ikram Ali

Reading Chronicle:

Ikram Ali, 30, of Gas Works Road, Reading, was jailed for intending to supply class B drugs after police found a large amount of drugs in his car.

Officers searched the car and found a large quantity of cannabis and attempted to arrest Ali but he fled the scene.

The drug dealer was sentenced to three years and eight months' at a hearing at Reading Crown Court on Monday, April 8.
