A TEENAGER has been punched in the face and hit with a tree branch by two men attempting to steal his bike.

The victim, a teenage boy, was in Chalfont Park Lower Earley, with his friends when he was approached by two men who attempted to steal his bike.

Thames Valley Police said the men hit the victim with a tree branch and punched him in the face.

The force added the bike was not stolen and the teenager did not need hospital treatment. 

The attack happened at about 8.35pm on Monday, August 3, and police are appealing for witnesses. 

The force describe the first offender as a white man, around 5ft 9ins tall with slicked back hair and a goatee.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, shorts and black adidas trainers.

The second offender is described as a white man, around 6ft tall, in his twenties with short, brown hair.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms and black shoes.

Investigating officer, PC Victoria McNicholas, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses, or anyone who has information about this incident, to please come forward.
