People have reported that the noice came from Corwen Road
LOCALS in Tilehurst have reported hearing an 'explosion' late last night.
Many have taken to social media to ask if anyone else was woken by 'loud bangs' at around 1.30am this morning (July 31).

Responses suggest a lot of people in the area heard the noise, with many reporting they or someone in their home had been woken up by the mystery sound.
Some suggested that the noise came from Corwen Road.

One comment revealed that someone heard the noise as far as Purley.
Emergency services have been contacted for information.
