A CAR described as a “death trap” has been seized by police in Tilehurst and the driver has been reported to court.

TVP Roads Policing tweeted last week (July 23) to explain it had stopped a car driving in Tilehurst.

A picture of the car shows the bonnet is heavily dented.

The tweet said: “I wonder if any of you can guess what drew this car to my attention in #Tilehurst #Reading earlier?”

The force claimed the driver had no insurance, no MOT, and no tax.

It explained the car was seized and the driver was reported to court “for a plethora of offences”.

The police added: “One death trap safely off the road!”
