A MAN from Newbury has been charged for drug offences after a warrant was executed yesterday.

Restak Evans, aged 28, of Monks Lane, Newbury was charged with producing cannabis, abstracting/using electricity without authority and restricting a constable in their line of duty.

This charge follows a warrant that was executed in Newbury yesterday, and Evans has been remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Reading Magistrates Court today.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been charged with drug offences.

"Restak Evans, aged 28, of Monks Lane, Newbury, has been charged with one count each of producing a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, abstracting/using electricity without authority and obstructing/resisting a constable in execution of their duty.

"It is in connection with a warrant that was carried out in Newbury yesterday, July 28.

"Evans was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court today, July 29."
