You can step aboard Whittington’s for the ultimate in traditional British refreshment.

On board the  modern canal barge, you’ll find a tea room with a difference.

To visit, park in Hill’s Meadows Car Park on George Street, Reading and you will find us on the Thames at the bottom of the Car Park.

Enjoy the fabulous views on the river as you enjoy a cream tea.

2. Tamp Culture Coffee – 5/5*

Very popular amongst coffee lovers, this kiosk is often noted for serving ‘the best coffee in Reading’.

It also allows you to drink in the views on the town as you indulge in your caffeine fix.

Located on Gun Street, it’s also the perfect place to grab a lunch on the go.

3. Miller and Carter, The Oracle – 4.5/5*

Located on the stunning riverside, you can enjoy a quality steak while sat out enjoying the views.

4. Nibsy’s – 4.5/5*

This exclusively gluten-free café has a charming atmosphere both inside and outside.

Located in the town centre, you can enjoy some fresh air on your lunchbreak with a delicious slice of quiche or cake!

5. Picnic Foods – 4.5*

Another quality independent café, the cosy atmosphere can be enjoyed along with the locally famous and delicious salad boxes.
