STEAK bakes, vegan sausage rolls and delicious doughnuts can now be delivered straight to your door as a bakery favourite returns from lockdown.

Of course, these goodies can only mean Greggs - and the much-loved pastry shop has opened for click and collect as well as delivery through Just Eat, meaning Reading customers can order and enjoy all the classics from the comfort of their own home.

The breakfast and lunch time favourite has altered two sites in the town to make it easier than ever for local Greggs fans to enjoy the return of their beloved bakes and rolls.

For click and collect, customers simply need to select the shop of their choice and a time slot, choose their food from the reduced menu and pay online.

Greggs - located at either Market Place or Christchurch - will then send an email when the order is ready for collection.

Once customers arrive at the shop, Greggs’ new operational measures will be implemented to help keep customers and colleagues safe. These measures include only one adult permitted in store to collect an order (children can accompany parents) and the introduction of floor markings to ensure a safe social distance is maintained.

Greggs goodies can also be ordered via Just Eat to be delivered directly to doors.

A Greggs spokesperson said: "We’re thrilled to introduce our click and collect service in Reading and along with the other shops we’ve reopened across the country and our partnership with Just Eat, we’re pleased to help bring a little taste of normal back to our local communities."
