MORE than £15,000 has been raised to go towards the funerals of the three men who were tragically killed during a terror attack in Reading.
David Wails, Joe Ritchie-Bennett and James Furlong were killed when a lone knifeman began stabbing people as they sat in Forbury Gardens last month.
A Go Fund Me page was set up soon after the attack by Reading Pride organisers with the hope of raising £20,000 to help support the men’s families for funeral costs.
So far, a total of £15,305 has been raised.
The money also hopes to go towards buying a permanent tribute for the men.
The fundraiser’s organiser Bradley Cooper posted on the Go Fund Me page on July 4.
He said: “We would love to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and shared this fundraiser.
“Thanks to you all, we have raised over £15,000 which is astonishing.
“The love and support being provided is extremely appreciated.”
Reading Borough Council flew its flag at half-mast yesterday (July 9) as a mark of respect during the funerals of the Forbury three.
It will also be flown at half-mast on July 11 and July 14.

An inquest investigating the deaths of the victims will be led by the Berkshire Coroner’s Office at Reading Town Hall and will begin on Wednesday, July 29.
Inquests are required when a person has died due to unnatural causes.
The coroner will act on behalf of the families to establish when, where and how the deaths happened.
