What is your response?I didn’t know Joe, but as the proud father of a gay son and father in law to his husband, both of whom know friends in Joe’s circle, I would like to express my shock and sadness at his violent and tragic death. Joe by all accounts was a generous, loving, thoughtful and lovable man and his death is a sad loss to his nearest and to the wider community. I am so sorry his life has been cut short, and so brutally. I send sincere condolences to his family, friends and all those who cherished him.

What is your response?I met Joe at the blagraves arms bar. He was a regular attending the quiz organised by the renegades. He was so witty, funny, ready for a laugh to the point he went to use a toilet roll to dress up during one of those Sunday evening quiz. A perfect gentleman.

What is your response?RIP to Joe Ritchie-Bennett. 💙 Very sad to hear the rumours being true of your tragic passing. I used to have good conversations with Joe, he was always the life and soul, always said Hi while passing, always had a smile on his face. One of my last memories of him was at the Blagrave on a Sunday, he was wrapped in toilet rolls to try and make it look like a catwalk dress😅 Ill cherish the good memories, he was also kind enough to message me on one of my darkest days, wishing me all the best with my upcoming treatment. Tonight I will raise a glass in both of your memories, for you Joe it will be a Gin. My Dear Friend. Until we meet again. RIP You will never be forgotten, terrorism will never win. 💙
