POLICE are hunting a man who exposed himself in Reading's busy town centre with children nearby.

Thames Valley Police said it has arrested a man after the incident which happened on near St Mary's Butts outside the Metro Bank.

The force said a man exposed himself about 4pm on Thursday, June 18, while the town was busy with members of the public, including children, present.

A 25-year-old man from Reading has since been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency.

He has been released under investigation.

Investigating officer PC Mark Skeavington, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward. The town centre was busy at this time and members of the public, including children, were present.

“I am appealing particularly to any motorists who were passing through the area at the time to check their dash cam footage, as well as any local businesses to review their CCTV footage.
