THIS BBC sports presenter will be supporting this virtual country fayre in Hurst.

The event, which will be taking place online from June 27 to June 28 due to the coronavirus pandemic, is still hoping to raise funds for local organisations such as Alexander Devine Hospice, youth wellbeing organisation Just Around the Corner and more.

In order to help the event, BBC sports presenter Mike Bushell has agreed to be the final judge for the best hobbyhorse.

A spokesman for the Hurst Show said: "BBC sports presenter, Mike Bushell, will be lending his support to the first ever virtual Hurst Show and Country Fayre this year.

"People from all over the area are invited to take part in online and socially distanced events all over June, culminating in what would have been the show weekend, June 27 and 28.

"Open to enter now is the Hobbyhorse competition, where households are encouraged to make and display their own hobbyhorses, with voting via Facebook and final judging by friend of the show, BBC TV sports presenter Mike Bushell."
