FAST-FOOD chain Wimpy (you read that right) could be on its way to the town centre.
Princess Square is undergoing refurbishment and it seems the mall could soon be welcoming the restaurant back to the town, according to planning documents.
Wimpy used to be based in the old town centre in the 1980s.

A proposal submitted on behalf of the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership read: “We understand that Wimpy has been secured as the end tenant.
“Wimpy is intending to employ approximately eight full-time staff and approximately 12 part-time staff.”
Wimpy is renowned for its burger choices and its menu includes beef and chicken burgers as well as a range of veggie options.
The list also features 'fish plates' and breakfast options, as well as a kids menu.

The plans indicate the eatery would be open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 5pm on Sundays.
Proposals sent to Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) show the location listed on the application to be 1 Princess Square.
However, this address is currently occupied by F Hinds the jewellers, but it is believed the actual location will be the space between Starbucks and The Card Factory.
Wimpy opened its first site in London in 1954 and became a global brand by 1970.

The chain had more than 500 locations in the UK at its commercial peak but just ten years later this number had fallen to 67, according to Vice.
Despite this, a new Wimpy was opened in Basingstoke last year.
Resident Rob Francis welcomed the plans.
He said: "It's a nice addition to the town, if not one of the most high-profile fast food chains around these days.
"There's a certain nostalgia factor that might appeal to older residents — and offering something a little different is perhaps not such a bad thing?
"It might also drive people in the direction of the much-neglected Princess Square.
"Despite the almost complete refurbishment of it, the lack of decent shops and the recent loss of Sainsbury's means there isn't much incentive to visit the place until The Deck is built — which will allow shoppers to easily walk around the town in a loop.
"I think the Post office is the only major reason to head to Princess Square for now, but having this close by could be a draw - and help the independent retailers in there."
The proposal is currently being considered by BFC.
