He said it was a pleasure to be associated with such an historic organisation as the YMCA who have been helping people in Reading since 1846.

He added that a key part of the club's work was to help local young people in need and hoped that this donation for computer equipment will assist the YMCA's residents, clients and staff to improve their IT skills as part of their personal and career development.

Receiving the cheque Arlene Kersley, Chief Executive of Reading YMCA, said the support from Reading Rotarians had come as such an unexpected and very welcome surprise especially during these very difficult times.
