Woodley food bank has made the announcement that they are moving from their previous space in Woodley Baptist Church to Emmanuel Church.

The move was announced to residents earlier this week over Facebook, showing how their supply shelves had already been emptied and moved.

The food bank has been based at Woodley Baptist Church, Hurricane Way, since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, but have now decided to move as residents prepare to return to the places of worship.

The food bank reassured residents that all of their donation points will remain in the same locations.

A spokesman for Woodley food bank said on Facebook: “Our cupboards are bare, but for very good reason, as we are on the move.

“Since the start of this pandemic, we have been blessed to be homed at Woodley Baptist Church.

“However, as they prepare to start welcoming back their little ones, we are moving into our new building.

“This last 2 weeks has been hard work for a team of generous gents at Emmanuel Church and the humble building is now ready to become the heart of our food bank.

“You can continue to pick up food parcels from Woodley Baptist Church, Monday to Friday, 10am until 12pm (except bank holidays) and all of our donation points remain the same.
