AN eight-year-old from Reading is going to great lengths to prove you can do anything from your home during lockdown.
Zack jokingly told his mother Hannah MacIndoe that he wanted to 'climb Everest' during lockdown - but the joke soon became a fundraising plan, as he and his two friends will be spending this month going up and down their stairs 3871 times each - reaching the 7747m summit of Everest at 11.30am on May 29.

The date coincides with the 63rd anniversary of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay's first ascent.
Hannah said: "The three friends have known each other since they were a few days old, so are raising money for the hospitals in which they were born - The Royal Berks Charity and Hampshire Hospitals Charity - as well as SSAFA: The Armed Forces Charity.

"They're fundraising page has been live less than a week, and so far they have raised more than £400."
