Three men from Slough have been rescued from cliffs in Studland.
At 7.30pm last Friday evening Purbeck police attended South Beach, Studland following a call stating three men had become stuck at the bottom of cliffs close to Old Harry Rocks.
The men had come from Slough for an outing to the seaside, had walked along the bottom of the cliffs, became cut off and had to climb up the cliff face to escape the rising tide.
One managed to get to safety and help raise the alarm.
Four police cars, four police officers, one PCSO, one police drone, two Coastguard response teams, the inshore lifeboat from Swanage and a double crewed ambulance were sent to help the men.
The rescue has left the authories from the area where the men were rescued seething.
The Purbeck Police posted on their Facebook and said: "Yes, all three will receive a surprise through the post.
"Around 20 emergency workers were put at risk as a result of a trip to the beach.
"PLEASE think before you travel."
