THIS Woodley resident has taken 26 steps despite being paralysed from the waist down, amid other feats, all in the name of charity.

Dani Watts, 31, took the 26 steps on Thursday, April 23, to raise funds for the RFU Injured Players Foundation.

This comes after it was announced the London Marathon was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, with her original plans to take part with her fiancé, both using day wheelchairs.

Dani has also completed 26 push ups one day, 26 crawls another, as well as a deadweight hang and more for the ‘2.6 challenge'.

Her actions have already raised nearly £7,000 in donations for her charity of choice.

Dani was paralysed from the waist down in 2017 while playing Rugby, and says that the organisation has supported her when she needed it most, saying: “My family and I have been supported since day one by the foundation.

"For us both, there was only one charity we wanted to raise money for in this London Marathon.

"However as the marathon sadly isn’t going ahead, we still want to do our bit to still raise awareness for a charity I will always hold close to my heart."
