The post also urged people to stay at home and protect the NHS.

A Berkshire organisation recently made a film about the issue of domestic violence during lockdown.

The film, ‘Be Brave, Speak Up’, comes amid concerns that referrals into many services that support vulnerable families have dwindled since the lockdown, whilst others like domestic abuse services have seen a rise as couples and families are forced together for very long periods of time.

This is exacerbated by the fact that many of the agencies and staff trained to spot cases of abuse are operating differently during the lock down, and are not having their usual close contact with vulnerable people.

A Facebook post by TVP Reading said: "Coming to the end of a productive night shift for #Team1Rdg, including arrests for domestic violence, breach of court order, as well as a vehicle seizure for no insurance and 3 tickets for breach government guidelines.

"Please think before you drive, help us to #ProtectTheNHS."

This comes as the force revealed the findings of their weekend patrols on Twitter, which said: "This weekend team 4 have completed open space patrols as well as vehicle stop checks on London Road & Oxford Road.

"Vehicles stopped: 207

"Non-essential travel warnings: 20.

"We're pleased to say that the majority of the community are complying with government guidance!"
