A CONSULTANT who died after contracting coronavirus has been remembered as a "superhero dad" by his children.
Father-of-two Dr Peter Tun, 62, passed away on Monday, April 13 at Royal Berkshire Hospital's intensive care unit.
An associate specialist in neuro-rehabilitation at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Tun also worked as a consultant at Circle Hospital, Reading.

It has not been confirmed whether the doctor had tested positive for coronavirus, although a number of posts on social media claim that he had.

Dr Tun’s two sons said in a statement: “Our family is immensely proud of our superhero Dad.
"He used to say, ‘treat all your patients like they are your own family’ and this speaks to the type of character that he had.
"To us, he was simply the best human we know and we will miss him every day.”

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust confirmed Mr Tun's passing away on its website this afternoon.
A spokesman said: "It is with deep sorrow that we confirm that we have lost a member of the Royal Berkshire family.
"It was confirmed that on Monday, April 13, Dr Peter Tun passed away in our ICU.
"Dr Tun was an associate specialist in neurorehabilitation at the Royal Berkshire Hospital for over 21 years, and was well known across the Neurorehab community nationally.
"Peter was an extremely well loved member of the team who was absolutely committed to his profession.
"Throughout his career at the RBFT, Peter not only touched the lives of so many patients and their families, but also those of us that had the privilege to work with him."

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust CEO Steve McManus added:
“The passing of Peter has sent a wave of grief throughout the entire organisation.
"Tributes have been pouring in from staff who have worked with Peter over the years and he will be sorely missed.
"On behalf of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust , we extend our sincere condolences to Peter’s family, friends and colleagues.”
When asked for further details the Royal Berkshire Hospital Trust said no more information would be released at the request of the family.
