AS gestures of kindness continue to bring smiles amid the lockdown, Reading's grateful ambulance service has thanked a local man for sending more than 50 Easter eggs to the team.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) took to Twitter to say: "This kind gentleman Simon McNiffe dropped off 54 Easter Eggs at Reading ambulance station today #ThankYou #SocialDistancing."

The kind gesture comes as many locals continue to show thanks to key workers during lockdown, with signs going up around the town and residents delivering parcels to key services.
