Fiona Brownfoot, a surveyor/director in charge of retail and leisure at Hicks Baker, explained the lease was exchanged last week but this is subject to a planning application for change of use.
She revealed once the planning application is approved by Reading Borough Council and we are no longer in lockdown and the unit can be accessed and traded from, they hope to complete the lease.
Ms Brownfoot believes the shop could be open by August 2020 depending on the current situation with the coronavirus lockdown.
