POLICE officers in Reading made a special visit to homes in Whitley to deliver flowers to residents.
Thames Valley Police officers tweeted to explain members of the team had been delivering flowers to homes in Whitley.

The force said: “Cheering up our local community in Whitley whilst keeping our social distancing.”

Pictures tweeted by TVP Reading showed scores of colourful bouquets that it said had been donated to the emergency services by Marks and Spencer.
Pictures also showed residents beaming as officers hand delivered the flowers to residents, including the elderly, straight to their doorsteps.
