GARDEN waste collections has been suspended due to staff shortages during the coronavirus lockdown.

Bracknell Forest Council announced as of this week, there will be no garden waste collections but missed weeks will be 'back to normal'.

They said: "Due to staff shortages related to the coronavirus, garden waste is suspended from today (Monday 23 March).

"We apologise for the inconvenience. When we are back to normal, we will add missed weeks to the end of paid subscriptions."

Some residents have expressed their concerns on social media to say with the tips closed and garden collections, people may 'start to fly tip'.

Luisa said: "With us all being at home there isn't much we can do but garden and decorate....my fear is that people will fly tip."

The recycling centres in Bracknell and Reading have also been closed to the public following the government’s announcement of a lockdown on Monday night.
