BOYCIE will swap Peckham for Maidenhead next month, giving TV fans a chance to enjoy an intimate evening with one of the nation’s greatest comedy actors, John Challis.

The TV star is best known as Boycie in BBC1’s Only Fools and Horses.

In a one-off show at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on April 17, the national treasure will reveal secrets from the set with stories and anecdotes from his dazzling career.

Having worked with some of the biggest names in show business, John spills the beans about Only Fools and Horses co-stars like Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst.

He also chats about friends and fellow performers like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oliver Reed and George Best.

The performer will also recall tales from his time in BBC1’s Doctor Who, ITV’s Coronation Street and other television classics.

The 77-year-old claims that ‘Performing is [his] best tonic’ and good for his mental health. He said his character Boycie is ‘always with me’ adding: “He’s like my shadow, really”.

After the show, John will meet fans to sign autographs and pose for pictures, while signing copies of his autobiography, Being Boycie, and his novel, Reggie: A Stag At Bay.

Only Fools And Boycie – An intimate evening with Only Fools And Horses actor John Challis comes to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on April 17 at 8pm.

The centre is currently shut amid the coronavirus outbreak, but currently plans to reopen on April 6.
