A TEENAGE boy is currently in hospital after he was stabbed on Friday night.

At about 11.45pm on Friday, March 6, an attack happened in Recreation Road, Tilehurst, Reading.

Police originally said it happened in Victoria Recreation Ground but this has since been updated.

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy from Reading on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent in connection to the attack.

He remains in police custody.

The victim was stabbed and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Thames Valley Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened that night.

Police said: "Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting 43200077720.

"Police are also appealing for any dash cam users to check the footage for anything significant."
