A BODY has been found near the River Thames in Reading today.
Police were scrambled to the scene after reports that a woman's body was discovered near Wintringham Way, Purley on Thames, Reading.

Officers were called at about 8.45am and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police tape has closed off the entrance to the field at both ends of Wintringham Way and half way along Mapledurham Drive.
A spokesman said: "Thames Valley Police officers are currently on the scene at Wintringham Way, in Purley on Thames, Reading, after the discovery of the body of a woman.
"Officers were called to the scene at approximately 8.45am today (7/3)
"The woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is being treated as non-suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner. A scene watch is in place while officers investigate the incident."
The field which has been cordoned off by police since early this morning.
