NO arrests have been made following a stabbing outside a Tilehurst pub more than a week ago, police confirm.

A man was stabbed four times in the attack outside the Victoria Pub on Wednesday, February 27.

Thames Valley Police said the victim, a man in his twenties, was stood at the bus stop in Norcot Road when he was stabbed four times in the leg and body.

South Central Ambulance Service was called to the scene by police at 7.25pm to reports that a male has been assaulted.

The victim was rushed to hospital and has since been discharged.

Police described the offender as around 5ft 7ins tall of small build and was wearing dark clothing.

A spokeswoman for TVP confirmed on March 5 that there were 'no updates'.

Last week, investigating officer detective inspector Marc Skinner of Force CID in Reading, said: “This is a serious incident in which a man has been stabbed.

“I believe there will be a number of people who would have witnessed what happened.

“If anyone was in the area and has dash-cam or CCTV footage, please get in touch.

“I am urging anybody with any information to call the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting 43200068015.

“Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or make a report online.”

Reports of the police incident flooded social media late last night and Reading Buses tweeted that the bus stop outside the pub on Norcot Road is not in use due to the incident.
