DAMAGE to overhead wires caused by Storm Dennis has caused continual delays for Reading and Didcot stations today.
Yesterday it was announced that the damage caused by the storm would be fixed by this morning, closing lines from Reading station and Didcot Parkway Station from 9.30pm to 6am today, however the repair works are still underway.
Great Western Railway will be running most of their lines throughout today, however distruption is to be expected.
National Rail said in an update this morning: "While Great Western Railway are still be able to run the majority of their services, trains running between these stations may be cancelled to reduced congestion in the area.
"Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
"You may use your ticket on Chiltern Railways services between Banbury / Oxford and London Marylebone."
