Reading police officers were scrambled to Heathrow Airport in a bid to arrest a man suspected of multiple burglaries in Reading.
A man was arrested after police swarmed the London airport in connection with several burglaries around Oxford Road.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police tweeted about the investigation. They said: "Reading PCT officers attended Heathrow in the early hours this morning to arrest a male wanted in connection to several burglaries off the Oxford Road, Reading, which were reported late last year.
"A massive thank you to the London Heathrow officers who assisted."
The man was placed in custody yesterday, however police have stated they are to take the case to the crown prosecution service after an interview, intending to secure charges.
Enquiries are currently ongoing.
