TRAVELLERS who set up camp in Prospect Park could be evicted from the site, tomorrow.

Reading Borough Council (RBC) was granted possession of the land in court, yesterday (February 10), having taken legal action against the group.

A spokesperson explained "the legal paperwork is collected today and we are looking to evict on Wednesday".

Travellers set up an encampment in Prospect Park on January 29 shortly after a group were evicted from Church End Lane, Tilehurst, after settling there just before Christmas.

It's not known whether the groups are the same.

About six caravans were spotted in Prospect Park on the day they arrived.
