Travellers set up an encampment in Prospect Park on January 29 shortly after a group were evicted from Church End Lane, Tilehurst, after settling there just before Christmas.
It's not known whether the groups are the same.
About six caravans were spotted in Prospect Park on the day they arrived.
The council have since confirmed they will be attending court on Monday, February 10, to take action against the group.
A spokesperson said: "If we are granted immediate possession of the land, we will look to evict at the earliest opportunity."
