A MAN has been hit by a train near Reading Railway Station.
Passengers were warned of distruptions just before 2pm yesterday, after a man had been hit by a train between Reading and Bedwyn stations.
National Rail was using replacement shuttle buses to and from the stations affected - Newbury (Wharf), Thatcham (Cropper Close), Midgham, Aldermaston, Theale (The Crown), and Reading Station.
A spokesperson for National Rail said: "A person has been hit by a train between Reading and Bedwyn, resulting in all lines being closed between these stations.
"Trains are currently unable to run between Reading and Bedwyn / Westbury. Some trains will be cancelled throughout or be diverted via an alternative route."
All trains have since returned to normal.
British Transport Police have been contacted for further details.
