Nursery, primary and secondary schools can get involved on February 7 by taking part in free maths activities to 'liven up their lessons'.

The activities take inspiration from popular TV gameshows such as Number Hunt and Who Want's to be a Millionaire?

So far, 3,500 schools have taken part since it launched 19 years ago and the campaign has raised nearly £2 million for NSPCC.

Last year, the charity helped 19,897 primary school children in Berkshire with this scheme and funding will help them reach even more in 2020.

Elizabeth Verner Pollard, schools service co-ordinator for Berkshire, said: “Number Day is a fantastic way to engage children with numbers and make maths more meaningful, all whilst raising money for the NSPCC.

“Number Day has raised an incredible amount of money over the past 19 years and we are so grateful to all the schools that have got involved.

"I hope even more schools will join us this year to celebrate 20 years of ‘Number Day’ and help protect children.”
