EMERGENCY roadworks are being carried out in Reading to allow urgent repairs to take place.
There has been an emergency closure on The Forbury, between Valpy Street and Forbury Walk, since yesterday (January 20) and throughout today (January 21).

This is to allow urgent carriageway repairs to be carried out.
A spokesperson for Reading Borough Council (RBC) confirmed the road is due to reopen by 7am tomorrow.
A telecoms company, CityFibre Metro Networks Ltd, has been allowed to take advantage of The Forbury closure to carry out works in Market Place to avoid further inconvenience at a later date.

This area is currently closed to buses.
