NEW details about how Bracknell’s new Gymfinity kids play space will look have emerged.

Bracknell Forest planning chiefs said yes to initial plans to replace the former Riley’s snooker hall in the town centre with the new activity centre in November 2018.

New drawings reveal more than 650 square metres is planned for the main gym floor area — space which is expected to be filled with several play facilities for children.

A parent viewing area is planned just beyond the entrance, and designs show mums and dads can grab a bite to eat or a drink at the Express Cafe by the reception area.

Proposed opening times for the site are 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week.

Gymfinity bosses are applying for more planning permission from Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) to add a nursery to the site, too.

This area would be split over two floors and would be accessible through a separate nursery entrance past the reception area.

A report from designers indicates the nursery will be provide daycare for children aged two to five-years-old, with toddlers able to access the gym floor area.

All children attending the nursery will follow the Gymfinity Kids pre-school reward scheme.

An extra small play area could be created at the back of the site, exclusively for the use of the nursery.

The nursery would not open at the weekend, according to a planning statement from applicants.

Twelve jobs could be created if the nursery gets planning permission - something BFC chiefs are currently considering.

In November 2019, the News reported Gymfinity Kids is expected to open in late 2020.
