POLICE have lifted a cordon after the body of a man was found in Reading Town Centre.

The entire section of Queens Walk surrounding the Penta Hotel was cordoned off by police this morning.

4. Town centre HMRC offices could become 85 flats

Offices in the town centre could become 85 flats without any need for planning permission from the council.

Mapledurham Properties LTD plan to turn Sapphire Plaza, on Watlington Street, from its current use as HMRC offices into dozens of flats.

5. READING: Victoria Park and Kensington Park searched by police

'SHARP objects' have been recovered from two parks in Reading as part of a police crackdown on violent crime.

The items were uncovered on Sunday by Thames Valley Police cadets who conducted a sweep of Victoria Park and Kensington Park in Reading.
