The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

October 4:

CV TECH LTD, London Road, Reading, convicted of using a vehicle in Slough on February 27 without the correct licence. Fined £440 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £85. Also ordered to pay £200 court costs.

DAWIN SIWEK, 34, of Foxglove Way, Thatcham, convicted of keeping an unlicensed vehicle on February 16. Fined £220 and ordered to pay £20 vehicle excise back duty, plus £200 court costs.

October 7: 

PRIYA NIRGUIDE, 40, of Broadcommon Road, Hurst, admitted possession of class A drug heroin in Reading on March 6. Fined £115 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

JAMES DUNSTAN, 37, of no fixed abode, admitted assault by beating in Newbury on May 29. also admitted using threatening, abusive, or insulting behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke violence in Newbury on May 29. Given a community order to carry out 60 hours unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £100 compensation and a £85 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

MARTIN AFOLABI, 37, of Russell Street, Reading, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending planned appointments on September 5. Fined £40.

FAHAD ALAWI, 33, of no fixed abode, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending rehabilitation activity on August 29, and September 12. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £60 court costs.

MICHAEL COVENTRY, 43, of Northumberland Avenue, Reading, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending appointments on July 23, July 31, and August 7. Fined £90 and ordered to pay £60 court costs.

GARY HADWICK, Willow Street, Reading, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not keeping in touch on May 16 and May 30. Fined £40 and ordered to pay £60 court costs.

AIDEN HOWE, 25, of Whitaker Court, Thatcham, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirement on release from prison by not attending appointments on August 21, August 27, and September 12. Given a supervision default order to carry out 40 hours unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £60 court costs.

October 8:

SCOTT BELCHER, 45, of Roebuck Rise, Tilehurst, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements following release from prison by not keeping in touch or notify supervisor of a change of address. Sentenced to prison for seven days.

LIEM SHARP, 19, of Kingsford Close, Woodley, admitted drug-driving in Greenwich Road, Shinfield, on May 26. Found to have cannabis in his blood. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and 60 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £85 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 18 months.

DANIEL SMITH, of Stanshawe Road, Reading, admitted using a vehicle in A33 Imperial Way, Reading, on August 22, without the correct insurance or licence. Also admitted taking a Ford Transit minibus without the consent of the owner from Hungerford on August 22. Also admitted failing to surrender to Reading Magistrates' Court on October 3 having been released on bail. Given a community order to comply with drug rehabilitation activity. Fined £150 and ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for six months.

October 9:

SIMON GILL, 44, of Newbury Close, Tilehurst, admitted possession of Class A drug cocaine in Reading on April 22, 2018. Fined £150 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

ALMIR ALIC, 44, of Ashby Court, Reading, admitted drink-driving in London Road, Reading, on September 21. Found to have 67mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Also admitted driving a vehicle in London Road, Reading, without due care and attention on September 21. Fined £533 and ordered to £40 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 20 months.

EMANUEL BARBAZAN, 24, of Sagecroft Road, Thatcham, admitted drink-driving on the A4 in Newbury on September 21. Found to have 60mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Also admitted using vehicle on the A4 in Newbury without the correct insurance on September 21. Fined £460 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.
