The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

September 26:

ROBERT BENNETT, 41, of Trowels Lane in Swallowfield, Reading, admitted stealing a Black Vauxhall in Blewbury, on December 14, 2018, and admitted stealing various items worth £580 from inside the care on the same occasion. Also admitted failing to surrender to Oxford Magistrates' Court on September 26. Sentenced to 24 weeks in prison due to the defendant's previous record and the offence was committed while subject to a suspended sentence.

JASON BENSON, 43, of Newtown Road, Newbury, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place. Fined £75 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

HONOR BOWERS, of Park Way in Newbury, admitted drink-driving in Rosemoor Gardens, Newbury, on September 9. Found to have 63mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £250 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 14 months.

SAMUEL BRANNAN, 31, of Sagecroft Road, West Berkshire, admitted drug driving in East Garston, Hungerford, on May 15. Found to have cannabis in his blood. Fined £300 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

PAUL LYNCH, 56, of Oxford Road, Reading, admitted being drunk and disorderly in KFC car park, Newbury, on March 2. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

KIERON WHITE, 25, of Helston Gardens, Reading, admitted failing to stop a vehicle in Whitley Park Lane when asked by police on September 11. Also admitted using a vehicle without the correct insurance or licence on the same occasion. Fined £225 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Six points added to driving licence.

September 27:

ANDREW PRIDHAM, 41, of The Slade, Bucklebury, admitted criminal damage to a door in Thatcham on September 15. Also admitted breaching a restraining order in Newbury on September 25 and was verbally abusive outside a primary school on September 25. Given a community order to comply with a curfew using electronic monitoring for two months. Restraining order to continue. Also ordered to pay £150 compensation.

September 28:

RODNEY MENDEZ, 49, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing six bottles of Brandy from Waitrose in Thatcham on June 5. also admitted stealing three bottles of Brandy from the same shop on May 30. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge.

September 30: NADIA CARROLL, 27, of Staverton Road, Reading, admitted stealing pitta bread and hummus worth £2.35 from Reading Station on March 13. Given a conditional discharge for four months and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge.

JORDAN FAHERTY, of Chattom Close, Earley, admitted criminal damage to Savers shop window in Reading on January 5. Also admitted using threatening, abusive, or insulting behaviour with intent to cause fear in Reading on January 5. Given a community order including rehabilitation activity and 80 hours of unpaid work. Ordered to pay £573.13 compensation and must also pay £150 court costs.

CHRISTOPHER ALLEN, 55, of Pol Kiln Lane, Goring Heath, Reading, convicted or criminal damage to a Landrover Range Rover in Goring Heath on August 8. Fined £1250.
